If you own your home and have a Community Services Card, or you're in a lower-income area, you may qualify for help through the Warmer Kiwi Homes grant. EECA runs that scheme and covers up to 80% of the cost up to a cap, and you apply through them directly. We're not an EECA provider, but we're happy to install a unit that fits the grant if you've been approved.

How long does a heat pump installation take?
Most single-room high-wall installs are done in a day, often half a day if the run is straightforward. A multi-room or ducted system takes longer, sometimes two days. We'll tell you what to expect when we quote so you can plan around it.
Do you cover Mosgiel and the Taieri towns?
Yes. We cover Mosgiel, Outram and the wider Taieri flats. Those newer builds are usually better sealed, but they still cop hard frosts, so we size the heat pump to hold its output on the coldest mornings.
Can you install heat pumps in older Dunedin villas?
Yes, and we do a lot of them. Older single-glazed villas lose heat, so we size the unit for that and plan the pipe run to avoid cutting into more weatherboard or plaster than needed. We'll talk through the best spot for the indoor head to warm the rooms you use most.
